Festival 'Klich-Polesie' Unites Slavic Peoples with Shared Roots and History

Dear friends, I sincerely welcome the participants of the bright and truly unique international festival of ethnocultural traditions 'Klich-Polesie'.

According to historians, Polesie is the cradle of the Slavs. This is where our origins lie. Here, on the steep banks of the full-flowing Pripyat River, among endless oak forests and natural beauty, are the roots of a beautiful, intelligent and noble people.

Therefore, when making the decision to hold the festival in 2010, we believed it would become another opportunity for three fraternal peoples — Belarusians, Russians and Ukrainians — to come together. And of course, we are glad to see here, on our common historical homeland, all Slavs, without exception — and not only them.

We are pleased that many guests are coming to us. This festival is not just a celebration, but a reminder that we are united by common roots and history.
