FIFA President Calls World Cup in US, Canada, Mexico Greatest in History

FIFA President Gianni Infantino has called the World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico the greatest in history and 'the largest socio-cultural event in human history.' Speaking at a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump, he said the tournament exceeded all expectations and that 'the American dream has become reality.' Infantino specifically thanked Trump, noting that without him the championship would not have been so successful. Earlier, the FIFA chief had called the 2018 World Cup in Russia and the 2022 tournament in Qatar the best.
