Finland and EU allocate €44 million for border drone defense equipment

The authorities of Finland and the European Union have allocated €44 million to the country's border guard for the purchase of equipment to combat UAVs, according to the press service of the Finnish Border Guard.

The funds will be spent on purchasing stationary surveillance and anti-drone systems. They are planned to be installed along the country's eastern border with Russia by 2026.

Border guards will also purchase and upgrade ground and water vehicles, equipping them with drone countermeasure technology.
