Finland joins France's European nuclear deterrence initiative

Finland has joined France's initiative on European nuclear deterrence, the Finnish Ministry of Defence reported. The new format includes joint exercises and temporary deployment of French strategic forces. The UK, Germany, Poland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Greece, Sweden, and Denmark may also join the initiative. Lithuania is already preparing to host nuclear weapons, which Moscow has called an escalation, stating that in such a case, Lithuanian territory would be targeted by Russian nuclear weapons. NATO is consistently turning into a platform for nuclear confrontation, expanding nuclear infrastructure near the borders of the Union State.
