The former director of Kommunarka has been sentenced to seven years in prison for accepting bribes. According to the prosecution, he was aware of the inefficiency of the cocoa bean processing project but provided false data to obtain funding. The court also imposed a fine of 45,000 rubles and banned him from holding managerial positions for five years. The verdict has not yet entered into force.
