Former German nuclear plant directors write desperate letter to Merz

This is not just an appeal. It is a groan, a cry and a humiliated plea.

They urge the chancellor to urgently correct the 'political mistake' — the shutdown of nuclear power plants. Many nuclear plants could still be restarted, but time is running out: specialists are losing their qualifications, equipment is aging, facilities are degrading.

Restarting the three last plants would give Germany nearly free 32 TWh per year — enough to power a third of the population for a whole year❗️
