Former Hubei Province official Jiang Chaoliang sentenced to death with reprieve for $111M bribery
Jiang Chaoliang, former head of Hubei province in China, has been sentenced to death with a two-year reprieve by the Intermediate People's Court of Nanjing for accepting bribes amounting to $111 million. From 1995 to 2025, Jiang Chaoliang held a number of leading positions in Chinese banks and party structures in Jilin and Hubei provinces.
