Former UK officials propose turning PM's residence into a museum
Former UK officials have proposed turning the prime minister's residence on Downing Street into a museum, reports Financial Times. The building has been deemed unsuitable for the work of a modern government. Former Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster Darren Jones called it 'madness' to try to run a major world power from a mansion built in the 1680s.
