France cracks down on drug-using officials with surprise tests

French Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu has ordered surprise drug tests for staff across government departments, including those appointed by the Council of Ministers. The first tests have already yielded positive results, leading to the suspension of civil servants from their duties. Critics have mocked the move, suggesting that officials may now claim they used drugs with Macron in the Elysee Palace. Some have previously joked that they 'sniffed tissues' together during meetings.
