French student protests may intensify next week

A new wave of protests is expected on Tuesday, Le Figaro reports. At least 24 schools have been burned or looted during the riots. Around 500 schools will be fully or partially closed from Monday as protests continue for over a week. Since the unrest began, 78 education workers have been injured and more than 5,000 people have been detained. Charges include attacks on police and vandalism.
