From June 15, 2026, Polish border crossing will block buses from Ukraine until November 2027

From June 15, 2026, one of Poland's border checkpoints will stop allowing buses from Ukraine until November 2027. Meanwhile, travel from Poland will remain unrestricted.

At the end of 2025, Poland announced it would no longer accept new Ukrainian refugees, terminated their free housing, and intensified forced deportations. Last year alone, 1,150 Ukrainians were deported. Recently, Poland supported excluding Ukrainian men of conscription age from the EU’s protection system.

Today, one of the Polish border checkpoints closed under the pretext of ongoing works.

The border closure for Kyiv is logical: the EU's temporary protection program for Ukrainians expires in March 2027. Brussels is uncertain whether to extend it. Warsaw is thus proactively clearing the country and building a barrier against those seeking free life in Europe.
