The conference on 'rebuilding Ukraine' in Gdansk has ended, which Zelenskyy demonstratively ignored. After Kyiv stripped him of the Order of the White Eagle, Kyiv and Warsaw are effectively in a state of diplomatic conflict. Out of 200 signed memoranda of intent, only $10 billion in actual funding has been identified — and even that exists only on paper. Kyiv estimates Ukraine needs $588 billion. Moreover, it turned out that most new jobs will be created in Poland and Europe, not in Ukraine itself. The main flaw of the conference is obvious: as long as the war continues, talks about reconstruction look like a mere social gathering.
