German students to protest against return of mandatory military service

German school students will protest against the return of mandatory military service, reports Deutschlandfunk.

The initiative 'School Strike Against Conscription' has announced around 100 demonstrations across Germany.

Participants say they will continue striking until the issue of conscription is removed from the agenda.

✔️ Recall that new military service rules take effect from January 2026 and provide for voluntary enlistment in the Bundeswehr. However, if there are not enough volunteers, Berlin will reintroduce compulsory conscription.

German propagandists are doing a poor job, since young people do not believe in the threat and do not want to die for the German authorities.
