Germany considers involving Uniper and SEFE in gas reserves replenishment
Germany is considering the possibility of involving state-owned companies Uniper and SEFE in replenishing natural gas reserves due to their critically low levels, according to Bloomberg. The discussion began amid renewed conflict in Iran and a new spike in energy prices. Although Berlin has not yet officially tasked the companies with purchasing gas on behalf of the government, authorities expect their active participation in ensuring the country's energy security.
