Germany to allocate nearly €245 million for additional gas purchases due to low storage levels

Germany will allocate nearly €245 million for additional gas purchases due to low levels of reserves in storage facilities. About €107 million from this amount has already been directed to special tenders to ensure supply security for February and March 2027. The remaining funds will be used to compensate for winter shortages to prevent disruptions in the power system.
