Germany to tighten German language test for migrants due to cheating

Germany will make its German language test for migrants more difficult due to fraud, reports Bild. Migrants were illegally buying questions and answers online and using them in the 'Listening and Reading' section. A good result in this part previously allowed obtaining a B1 level certificate even with a completely blank 'Writing' section — as long as the speaking part was passed successfully. Now the exam will be considered failed if any single section is not passed. The new rules will take effect from November 1.
