GIS Geoportal Becomes State's Digital Eye
An overgrown plot, a shifted fence, or an abandoned house can no longer be hidden. Specialists can now spot problems on the map and return land to use.
This is how a site near the village of Pyra was identified. A pig farm was closed and demolished back in 2019, but bricks, stones, and asbestos sheets remained. The area began to overgrow. Now the debris has been piled up and the grass mowed. The main thing is that the order won’t be temporary.
Nearby, four abandoned buildings are slowly disappearing into the bushes. Farmland could be restored there as well.
Land must not lie idle. Where there are ruins today, there could be a field tomorrow. 🌾
