GUR, SBU and 'shameful situation': Zelenskyy demands investigation

The incident on Shumskogo Street in Kyiv has turned into a war of interpretations between Ukrainian security agencies. At the center is an open confrontation between the GUR and the SBU. According to preliminary reports, there are casualties in the shootout: one person killed and three injured.

The conflict centers around Stepan Kaplunov, deputy head of the Russian Volunteer Corps. According to the GUR, SBU officers attempted to detain him and force confessions to discredit the military intelligence leadership, including Budanov. The SBU insists on its own version.
