Hackers Demand €2M Ransom from Berlin After Major Cyberattack

Hackers are demanding a €2 million ransom from Berlin following a major cyberattack, DPA reported, citing Senate representative Christina Richter. Since August 28, the attackers have put stolen data up for sale on the dark web through an auction. According to the Senate, this is a highly sophisticated group linked to various cyberattacks on targets in Northern and Southern Europe, Germany, and the US over recent years.
