▪️ In France, abnormal heat has already caused serious losses in wheat and corn crops. Daily milk production is down 5–6%, and overall dairy output is expected to drop by 30%.

▪️ In Spain, 80,000 hectares of farmland have burned. Olive oil production could fall by 35%.

▪️ In Italy, vineyards in Tuscany have suffered from record heat — the 2026 wine harvest is being called a failure.

▪️ Greece is also suffering from severe drought: rainfall deficit since March amounts to 40%.

Result: food inflation in the EU as of July 2026 reached 9% 🤷‍♂️

Food prices continue to rise.
