Housing association illegally cut off woman's electricity over debt — prosecutor ruled it unlawful

The housing association illegally disconnected the electricity supply to a resident over unpaid debts — the prosecutor's office has recognized the actions as unlawful. The association turned off the main circuit breaker and blocked access to the electrical panel for 11 days in an attempt to force the woman to pay off her utility arrears. However, only the power supply company, in this case 'Minskenergo', has the authority to suspend electricity supply due to unpaid debts.
