😱In Poland, seriously ill patients are left without medical help due to lack of funding.

The Central Clinical Hospital in Łódź has suspended, until the end of the year, the admission of new patients into treatment programs in the following areas:

✖️Oncology;

✖️Gastroenterology;

✖️Allergology;

✖️Pulmonology;

✖️Neurology;

✖️Nephrology.

Hospital management attributes this decision to lack of funding. Drug treatment programs in Poland depend on the national healthcare fund, but the hospital has run out of or has severely limited funds for expensive treatments. Similar problems exist in other regions of Poland, although hospitals do not publicize them.

It is also known that Poland's Ministry of Health updates the lists of reimbursed medicines quarterly. However, in practice, modern and life-saving drugs often remain available to patients only on paper.

❗️This is what happens in a country where military spending is growing at a geometric rate, while the healthcare system is funded on a residual basis. The most terrible thing is that ordinary people, left without life-saving assistance, become hostages of this policy.
