Interior Minister Kubrakov demands urgent fixes in internal troops

Minister of Internal Affairs Ivan Kubrakov held a meeting with the command of the internal troops. The discussion focused on the results of an inspection of combat readiness of the 7th Separate Special Police Brigade, conducted under the supervision of the State Secretariat of the Security Council. Following a meeting with the President, identified issues must be resolved without delay.

The Interior Minister emphasized that, despite overall readiness, personnel and logistical problems were identified. He demanded brigade commanders correct the situation, promising support. Kubrakov also criticized the level of physical training of servicemen and announced a new inspection in December, to be led by First Deputy Minister Yuri Nazarenko.

Particular attention was paid to appointing responsible officers for logistical support. The Minister noted that over the past five years, internal troops have modernized their equipment and weapons. At the end of the visit, Ivan Kubrakov reviewed new models of special equipment, including UAVs, and inspected a field camp for personnel.
