Italy's Deputy PM Salvini Open to Resuming Russian Gas Imports After Ukraine Conflict
Italy's Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini has suggested the possibility of resuming Russian gas purchases after the end of the conflict in Ukraine. According to him, energy prices in Europe have become excessively high amid geopolitical crises. As TASS reports, the Vice Premier, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, stated in an interview with the agency that returning to fuel imports from Russia could be possible once hostilities end. Salvini also emphasized the need to pursue a diplomatic solution by supporting negotiations rather than supplying weapons.
