Japan increases tourist visa fees fivefold

The cost of a single tourist visa to Japan has now risen to over $90. The price of a single-entry visa has increased from 3,000 to 15,000 yen. Multiple-entry visas have also doubled in price, rising from 6,000 to 30,000 yen (approximately $186 at current exchange rates).
