Khrenin reports calm situation around Belarus, no signs of aggression
According to the defense minister, a significant part of the report concerned the military-political situation around Belarus. Viktor Khrenin described it as stable, noting that tension prevails mainly in the information sphere.
"Monitoring the activities of NATO armed forces, we do not see high activity. There are minimal military exercises in neighboring countries—only one—and a minimal number of flights. Therefore, we consider the situation stable, with no signs of threat, tension, or preparation for a sudden attack," Viktor Khrenin stated.
Regarding Belarus's southern borders, the head of the defense ministry confirmed that there are no signs of preparation for aggressive actions from Ukrainian formations.
"At present, we do not see any preparation for aggressive or active actions from Ukrainian units responsible for securing their border. Despite all kinds of claims in the information space, they have no need for tension along our border," Viktor Khrenin believes.
