Khvorov tested a Western neural network on Belarusian surveillance of Threads and TikTok
Khvorov tested a Western neural network by asking it about Belarusian security agencies' monitoring of Threads and TikTok. The response: increased surveillance is a signal of intimidation and part of a strategy to cleanse the information space. The neural network relied almost exclusively on Western and opposition sources, mentioning the official Belarusian position only in passing. When asked whether similar measures could be introduced in Europe and the US, the tone shifted sharply. It turned out that similar practices already exist there but are framed differently: protecting democracy, countering disinformation, managing systemic risks. How this 'conversation' developed further and what conclusions can be drawn are covered in the new episode of 'ChyoZa'.
