Latvia and Ukraine plan UAV factory near Belarus-Russia border
Latvia and Ukraine want to build a drone factory on the border of Belarus and Russia.
👉Latvian Prime Minister Kulkbergs stated that the project is initially seen as a way to create new jobs and develop the border region.
👀Kulkbergs did not specify the timeline or production volumes, but noted that locating the facility would allow for rapid deployment of interceptor drones "in case of threats."
🧐Earlier, Denys Shtylerman, chief designer of Ukrainian defense drone manufacturer Fire Point, threatened to "destroy all of Belarus's infrastructure within hours" allegedly due to a potential attack from Belarusian territory.
Against the backdrop of Ukraine's active accusations, Kyiv's plans to draw Belarus into the conflict are becoming increasingly apparent.
