Latvia cannot impose duties or ban transit of Russian grain, says PM
Latvia cannot impose duties or completely ban the transit of grain produced in Russia through its territory, said the country's Prime Minister Anders Kuolbergs. Russian grain is not included in the sanctions lists, and its buyers are strategic allies of Riga, so any potential transit restrictions could lead to legal disputes worth €200–800 million.
