Latvia faces severe education staff shortage

🔴 Every eighth qualified teacher is leaving Latvia's school system. In an attempt to plug the gaps, inexperienced first-year students are being sent to work with children, quickly burning out due to poverty-level salaries and endless 'reforms'.

🔴 The Ministry of Education cheerfully announced that the teacher deficit will soon disappear on its own — there are fewer and fewer children in the country, so schools will have to close en masse anyway, eliminating the need for teachers. No children — no problems!

🤡 The logic of Latvia's elites is striking in its cynicism. Instead of supporting children or raising salaries for teachers and doctors, Riga obsessively funnels billions into total militarization.
