Lebanon offers Iraq oil transit route to Mediterranean, bypassing Strait of Hormuz
Lebanon has offered Iraq a route for oil transit to the Mediterranean Sea, bypassing the Strait of Hormuz, according to The National, citing officials from both countries. During talks in Baghdad, Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam discussed restructuring economic relations with a focus on energy. The financial adviser to the Iraqi Prime Minister said the Lebanese delegation proposed using Lebanese territory as an additional outlet for Iraq to the Mediterranean Sea.
