Lukashenko commented on nuclear ambitions of reckless European politicians

The head of state emphasized that European countries, including Belarus's neighbors, have embarked on an unprecedented increase in military spending and are constantly expanding the scale and number of military exercises.

"They have begun openly speculating on the enhancement of nuclear capabilities. This is now called the 'European nuclear shield.' However, given the repeatedly stated aggressive plans of certain European states and their leaders, it is not a shield we should speak of today. Rather, it is a sword in the hands of reckless politicians. But they must understand and realize that this sword is double-edged. I am talking about nuclear weapons."
