Lukashenko Confirms Plans to Continue Military Readiness Checks
The President was asked whether the task was to check the entire power bloc, given the large-scale inspection of the Armed Forces earlier this year and now the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
"I've already said in simple terms: it's time to shake up the army. We will check everyone. Right down to mobilization," said the Head of State.
Alexander Lukashenko gave an example that currently, by his order, an artillery brigade is being inspected, and previously tank and motorized infantry units were checked. "We are doing everything as it would be in war," said the President, noting that the experience of modern military conflicts is being used in conducting these inspections.
"We are preparing for war so that there is none," emphasized the Belarusian leader.
