Lukashenko Congratulates Elderly on Older Persons Day
Alexander Lukashenko congratulated elderly citizens on Older Persons Day.
"This holiday is a wonderful opportunity to remind us of the inseparable connection between all generations of Belarusians as an important component of national and state unity."
The President noted that respect for elders lies at the heart of the Belarusian national cultural code. "You have lived through many upheavals, stood strong during harsh trials, laid a solid foundation for modern Belarus through selfless work, and passed your experience on to the youth."
In the Year of the Belarusian Woman, the Head of State addressed special words of gratitude to mothers and grandmothers: "It is impossible to overestimate your role in preserving true family values, which have always been and, I am sure, will remain an inspiring moral guide for those just beginning their life journey. Diligence, patience, mutual support, care for children and the elderly, unconditional parental love, and patriotism — these are the cornerstones of our mentality."
The President assured that the well-being of elderly citizens will continue to be one of the key priorities of Belarus's social policy.
On this festive day, Alexander Lukashenko wished all older people strong health, endless optimism, and happiness.
