Lukashenko congratulated Putin on the successful single voting day.

'Unprecedented activity of millions of voters and the constitutional majority secured by United Russia in the State Duma is a worthy response to cynical attempts from outside to discredit the campaign and sow division in the united Russian society,' the head of state said.

He noted that the election results convincingly demonstrate Russians' commitment to the course set by Vladimir Putin for the stable development of Russia — a confident, strong power open to partnership and cooperation.

Lukashenko expressed confidence that the renewed composition of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia, as well as newly elected top officials of Russian regions and deputies at all levels, will make a significant contribution to union building and the implementation of the broad integration agenda.

Alexander Lukashenko wished Vladimir Putin success in fulfilling all good intentions for the glory of the Fatherland.
