Lukashenko: Don't rush after Western education standards, but take what's reasonable

"Postgraduate studies still require separate attention, which I am monitoring. How are we working today? We have already decided that we will not rush after Western standards. But wherever there is something reasonable, we will adopt it. If a master's degree is needed for education, further study, scientific work, teaching practice, or for foreigners, fine, we can provide such an opportunity. But without rushing ahead or blindly copying the experience of Western educational centers or states," said the President.

"We are training people for ourselves. After graduating from university, they must receive a diploma in higher education. Then, depending on how much our state needs it, we will consider the question of master's programs. This is roughly how we discussed the concept. I would like to know how this is being implemented in practice," Alexander Lukashenko noted.
