Lukashenko: Don't rush to discard what benefits you today
Belarusian President advised against hastily discarding what currently brings benefit during a meeting with heads of government delegations attending the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council meeting.
Alexander Lukashenko stated that the world is undergoing a serious transformation and facing intense competition. The President emphasized the key role of the economy in national development and the importance of government leaders' work, noting that people in any country primarily assess life from an economic standpoint. He urged EAEU countries not to abandon the common market, a significant part of which is Russian, and reaffirmed Belarus's commitment to integration in the post-Soviet space.
At the end of the meeting, the Head of State assured that Minsk will certainly fulfill all reached agreements:
"We are your friends, and you can count on us. Even in the most difficult times, even when it might not be particularly beneficial for us. But you know that your people, your friends, are here. You have come to your homeland. Not only Russians, Russian people, but all of you are not strangers to us."
