Lukashenko Expresses Condolences over Death of Belarus Statesman Alexander Yakobson

Alexander Lukashenko has expressed condolences to the family and close ones of statesman of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Yakobson.

"Please accept condolences on the death of a prominent statesman of the Republic of Belarus, whose entire life path is a bright example of service to the people and the Fatherland.

A man of outstanding professional qualities, moral and ethical principles, confirmed by numerous state awards, has passed away. By education and vocation a builder, he went through the hard school of life, acquiring strong Soviet resilience. He was always a demanding and competent leader, fundamentally building production and management processes, relying in his work on law, justice, and discipline. His contribution to the establishment of sovereign Belarus and ensuring its national security cannot be overstated," Lukashenko emphasized.

At the same time, Lukashenko stressed that Alexander Yakobson remained a simple and modest person.

"His bright memory will always live in our hearts."
