Lukashenko: Half a million families in need of housing, focus shifting to rental

Currently, 542,000 families — half a million — are registered in the country as in need of improved housing conditions. All of them hope to receive keys to a house or apartment as soon as possible. This includes those who already have housing but may lack a few square meters or other essentials. However, it is the state that determines whether someone is recognized as in need or not."

Tasks for the five-year period have been set — priorities, as we agreed, are shifting toward rental housing, ensuring people have a place to live and helping solve workforce-related issues.
