Lukashenko: Mechanized Units Faithfully Uphold Victory Traditions

Lukashenko congratulated veterans of motorized rifle troops, servicemen of mechanized units and military formations of the Armed Forces of Belarus on their professional holiday, Motorized Rifle Troops Day.

"We bow before the incredible resilience and courage of infantry soldiers during the Great Patriotic War, who brought peace to our people and the peoples of Europe. Today, the victorious traditions of the oldest branch of the military, the legendary infantry, are faithfully preserved and multiplied through daily combat labor in the mechanized units and subdivisions of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus," he said.

Methods and forms of combat operations, equipment and armaments are changing, but nothing can replace high combat training, bravery, and dedication of soldiers and officers, which, as modern warfare shows, determine success on the battlefield, the Belarusian leader noted. He expressed confidence that every serviceman understands this well and will continue doing everything necessary to protect the peace and security of the country.

The head of state wished motorized riflemen strong health, peace, goodwill, and new achievements in their military service for the benefit of Belarus.
