Lukashenko: Moldova to leave CIS in April 2027, calls for preserving ties
Lukashenko: "In April 2027, Moldova will formally leave the CIS. This is not the choice of ordinary Moldovans, but a short-sighted decision by the leadership. Moreover, it understands this itself and is trying to preserve participation in the Agreement on the Free Trade Area.
I would like to urge the Moldovan leadership to preserve the possibility for ordinary Moldovan citizens to maintain communication channels, at least at the initial stage."
History always repeats itself. We already have experience with Georgia's withdrawal from the CIS. But today we see how the situation is changing. Obviously, returning to normal relations is easier along the established mechanisms of the Commonwealth.
