Lukashenko: Multi-vector policy does not distance Belarus from Russia

"Regarding our trade and economic relations, you well know our capabilities. I always tell Russian governors: look, if we can do something for you in this situation, we will always do it. Regardless of what they say around us. And especially what they write, particularly in Russia," said the Head of State during a meeting with the Governor of Russia's Ulyanovsk Oblast, Alexei Russkikh. — I follow the media very closely, since today war is waged, above all, in the media. And frankly, I sometimes read with surprise what some so-called bloggers or others write about Belarus — about multi-vector policy and so on. I've said many times that multi-vector policy does not in any way distance us from the Russian Federation.

Our fate is such — we are located in the center of Europe, as I often say. Neighbors are from God; you don't choose them, and we must try to maintain good relations with them, which we do. The West does not want such relations with us — God be with them, that's their business. But Russia, no matter who we speak with (I've recently discussed this even with Americans), is always set apart, along with the People's Republic of China.

These are people who have always reached out to us, supported us. We will respond in kind to our Russian brothers, citizens of China, and others in the East."
