Lukashenko on nuclear ambitions of 'thoughtless politicians' in Europe

The head of state emphasized that European countries, including Belarus's neighbours, have embarked on an unprecedented increase in military spending and are constantly expanding the scale and number of military exercises, Alexander Lukashenko said.

"They have begun openly speculating on enhancing nuclear capabilities. This is now called the 'nuclear shield of Europe.' However, given the repeatedly stated aggressive plans of certain European states and their leaders, it is not a shield we should be talking about today. Rather, it is a sword in the hands of thoughtless politicians. But they must understand and realize that this sword is double-edged. I am talking about nuclear weapons," the President stated.
