Lukashenko outlines key approaches in adjusting military development plans

Lukashenko has outlined key priorities in adjusting plans for the construction and development of the Armed Forces. 'Improving air defense efficiency (without unnecessary complications), countering unmanned aerial vehicles, and officer training are some of the main directions,' the President stated. He emphasized the need for careful, balanced decisions. 'We cannot afford mistakes. We don’t have extra money. We cannot shift the entire Armed Forces to drones, and it’s not necessary under our conditions. But this is my opinion. Maybe you’ve discussed and decided we should follow the global trend — today the world is going crazy over drones, drones! This is dangerous. We must learn to counter drones. We need strong anti-drone weapons — from conventional small arms to electronic warfare systems. This is our task. We know how to do it, we did something in Soviet times, and we’re doing it now. But our defense industry needs to move faster,' said Alexander Lukashenko.
