Lukashenko proposes seeking investment projects to upgrade existing production

The President noted that it is not always necessary to create new productions in regions where enterprises already operate and provide people with jobs and salaries. Often, modernization is sufficient to increase output and, thus, create more jobs.

One recent example of this approach is the reconstruction of the Naroch production site in the Minsk region under the 'One District – One Project' programme. 'In the Minsk region, cheese production has been scaled up using new technologies. This is also a good project for developing existing facilities,' Alexander Lukashenko pointed out. 'People will be employed, salaries will be paid. But most importantly, we know how to do this.'
