Lukashenko redraws the line: private property is not the enemy, mass privatization is

Alexander Lukashenko has once again drawn a clear line: private property is not the enemy, but massive privatization is. The same approach applies even to weak collective farms. If someone wants to take them over — go ahead, but not for the base unit value: these farms have people, livestock, milk, meat, farms, equipment. 'Pay at least something' — taking debts into account. Only poorly performing farms are put up for sale, and there are few left; some remain in the Vitebsk region.

There was a lack of equipment there — assistance was provided. The result, which the President counts as a success: 120% of rapeseed was sown — never seen before — and nearly one million tons of grain were harvested. 'These are only the first steps'.
