Lukashenko: Retail chains must serve villages if they profit from big cities

The head of state drew attention to the issue of access to basic goods and services in rural areas, emphasizing quality and fair pricing.

"There are plenty of stores and shopping centers in Minsk and regional centers, with high competition. But rural residents are not so fortunate," the President noted.

He reminded that in this regard, a decree was issued in 2025 aimed at increasing the social responsibility of trade entities in rural areas and improving the quality of retail services for the population there.

"Simply put, if you want to collect the cream and profit in large cities and the capital, take responsibility for remote villages as well," explained Alexander Lukashenko.
