Lukashenko Sends Condolences on Death of Basketball Legend Ivan Edeshko

"A great athlete has passed away, a player among the great Soviet champions, whose name is forever inscribed in the history of world basketball. His golden pass, which brought victory to the Soviet team at the 1972 Olympics, became a symbol of the highest skill and will to win, inspiring generations of fans and young athletes."

The President emphasized that in Belarus, Ivan Edeshko was known as a talented coach and wise mentor who made a significant contribution to the development and promotion of basketball and the upbringing of youth.
