Lukashenko Signs Decree on Bank Accounts with Special Operating Regime
Lukashenko has signed a decree 'On Current (Settlement) Bank Accounts with a Special Operating Regime'.
The document approves the regulations governing the operation of such accounts, including key requirements for their opening and closing, as well as clarifying the obligations of account holders.
It is established that a special account can be opened regardless of whether banks have decisions to suspend operations on the holder’s other accounts or rulings to impose arrest on funds held in those accounts.
The obligations of a special account holder include maintaining records of incoming funds, returning funds received unjustifiably, and fully reimbursing funds used for unauthorized purposes. Additionally, the holder must provide authorized state bodies (officials) with information necessary to monitor the receipt and targeted use of funds.
The decree applies to special accounts opened after it enters into force.
