Lukashenko Signs Law Ratifying Belarus-Russia Agreement on Joint University

Alexander Lukashenko has signed a law ratifying the intergovernmental agreement between Belarus and Russia on the operating conditions of the Belarusian-Russian University.

The agreement regulates certain aspects of the educational, financial, and economic activities of this interstate higher education institution in accordance with the legislation of both countries, established practices, and the existing cooperation mechanisms between the Belarusian and Russian sides.

Educational activities, licensing, accreditation, certification, and enrollment procedures for Belarusian educational programs will be carried out in line with national legislation; for Russian programs — in accordance with Russian legislation.

Implementation of the agreement will create additional conditions for developing a joint educational environment, expanding the university’s scientific, technical, and innovative activities, including through involvement of organizations from Belarus and Russia, contributing to the training of highly qualified engineering personnel for the economy of the Union State.
